Why Learn about Money and Banking?
After demonetization exercise in the Indian economy many people are wondering about the working of the money and banking sectors of the Indian economy.
The great Austrian School economist Prof. Ludwig von Mises said, “Whether we like it or not, it is a fact that economics cannot remain an esoteric branch of knowledge accessible only to small groups of scholars and specialists. Economics deals with society’s fundamental problems; it concerns everyone and belongs to all. It is the main and proper study of every citizen.”
Taking to heart this message of Prof. Mises, the members of the Rothbard Circle endeavours to educate people in the ideas of sound economics. To fulfil this goal the circle has designed this workshop, “Money and Banking”.
Money and Banking are two very important economic phenomena which every citizen must fully understand if they want to safeguard their careers, lives, property & future. The recent exercise of demonetization in India fully exhibits the need of such understanding of money and banking matters.
Our small course will help students understand these two important phenomena thoroughly.
Mises India has designed a 2 day workshop on Money and Banking to enlighten the students, business people and citizens at large about these issues.
We are willing to conduct this workshop in various colleges of Surat city on regular basis around the year.
